Haunting Halloween Gymnastics Jamboree |

Davis Diamonds gymnasts Aubrey Lee-Smith, Madison Johnson, Chloe Jones, Kalysta
Holder, Angelica Van Den Abeele, Anna Verdiguel, and Laney Teaford all
had a strong dress-rehersal for Zone and State Championships in this
years Halloween Jamboree, a USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic event hosted by Oroville Gymnastics Sports Academy, October 25-26. Confirming progress and showing great
potential, Halloween Jamboree was the last regular season meet before
Zone Championships November 9. This Halloween Jamboree attracted
seventeen teams from California and Nevada and featured a haunted gym,
besides judges, coaches, and gymnasts in funny costumes. |

Once again, Davis Diamonds were strong on vault and bars, with Claire Wiebe, Kyra Lee, and Colleen
Peterson each taking an event gold in the Byers' Roseville Surf
Classic. Over 400 gymnasts representing more than 25 northern
California teams participated in this years Junior Olympic event,
October 4 and 5. For Davis gymnasts Lee, Amiet Scheidegger, and Mina Alali, this was also their first gymnastics meet ever. |

Davis Diamonds gymnasts vaulted to one of their best meets ever in the Disco-Tech Junior Olympic Invitational hosted by Technique Gymnastics in Rancho Cordova, September 20 and 21. Chloe Chan and Micaela Everitt
each won vault in their respective level 5 age classes, and Aubrey
Lee-Smith and Michelle Kohler took vault bronze medals in their level 4
age groups, with Sidra Bugsch taking fourth. This years Disco-Tech
Invitational was attended by over 750 gymnasts representing 37 teams in
northern California. Davis Diamonds sent 32 gymnasts, for five of whom was their first competition ever:
Colleen Peterson, Eva Stromberg, Juliana Clark, Kohler, and Maggie
Fraga. The Diamonds won bronze in each of the respective levels 4, 5, and 6 team competitions.
